Ryan Boatright a USC comit

Ryan Boatright is a 5'10 Point guard from aurora Illinois. About two years ago Ryan commited to the Trojans of USC and the press thougt it was rediculous. I say Boatright's commitment and durant, Beasley, and Mayo's quick impacts lead College Coaches to come after the players as early as 7th grade. Ryan ranks at the Top 15 players in Illionois.

Compact Guards in Columbus

Stevie Taylor the 5'8 lightning quick Point guard has the total feel for the game. Can score at will and is so quick that its so hard to stay in front of him. He is known for embarrasing and exposing who's checking him wether its dancing with him with cross over moves or draining the three in his face. He plays the whole game with a smirk or a smile which shows he's having fun. He has a lot of flair to his game and at tournaments he tends to attract a lot of spectators, maybe it could be because all the hype behind him, his powerful OBC Showstoppers AAU team, or the way he puts on a show? Stevie can do what he puts his mind to. Some games, more so the non competitive games he goes out throws plenty of dimes and swaggers around the floor with his head up and his little limp. Games that go to the wire Stevie tries to go for 20 plus. Ohio State and Akron are rrecruiting heavily on Taylor.

Isiah Roger's is a 5'4 freshman guard from Westerville Ohio. A small crafty guard with handle's and a great one-on-one play maker. He has been playing up an age group with the All Ohio Red/White program and held his own againts the older players. A few years ago he was a shure shot as far as the Top player in the state of Ohio where he just went crazy on dominating the AAU State tournament. Now Isiah is one of the top 3 Point guards in Ohio. One thing many people know Isiah lacks is size. if he was to add about four more inches or so that could really help him out as far as finishing in the lane, but he is pretty decent in the lane he uses his nice studder-step, head fake move finishing with a little push shot or floater. Time will come with this young player and he will keep improving and I see him as a Big Time D1 player. So does Ohio State.

AAU and Highschool Sports getting more Live coverage

Thanks to ESPNU we will get to see more live AAU tournament games and Highschool league games. Even Local stations will increase the number of games showed. Thanks to the popularity of prep sports youth and highschool. Many might of seen the Elite24 game or the Highschool Super Showcase but now they are expected to show more game's such as the RBK-U camp and AAU Nationals. Im shure the athletes around the nation are smiling now.

Marques Teague

Marques Teague the lightning quick explosive 6'1 guard. The defender has work to do when checking him, and most dont want to. He is very quick and has a great first step. He is almost impossible to keep out of the paint, when in the paint he is so athletic where he can dunk over you with either hand or both, pull up for the easy shot, and crafty enough to make the dish to the open man. Teague is rated among the top 20 players in the nation and is in the Top 3 as far as point guards. Brother of Wake Forest Point Guard Jeff Teague and they are completly Identical, so are their games. Marques has been getting a lot of interest from schools such as Cincinnati, Wake Forest which offered him, Illinois, Indiana, and Louisville.

Minnesota's Marcus Alipate gets looks

A standout guard from Bloomington MN has been doing damage over the past year averaging nearly 10 points per game. His ball handling is great and he goes where ever he wants to without letting it slip or getting it poked away. At 5'11 he really knows how to defend too he is very tough, maybe the football in him has helped. Marcus has been getting a lot of love from the Golden Golphers and Tubby Smith and been on a visit earlyer in the month.

Honigford, Buckeye or Spartan

Paul Honigford is a 6'7 Power Forward from Sugar Creek Ohio. A good finesse Forward who has a sweet touch around the basket. Honigford took a visit to Michigan State in September to watch the Notre Dame vs MSU game. He has also had a visit to Ohio State in early september. At this time no one knows which school he likes the most but stay tuned. Look for more Big Ten school'
s to come after his sophmore season

The Combo Guards in Detroit

Brandan Kerney the 6'5 Combo Guard from Detroit Michigan has been geting a lot of love this summer playing with the Michigan Mustangs AAU team. He is a slim, long guard who can see the floor and has a deadly set shot from the center three point line. He lacks speed and athleticism but has an incredible I.Q. Early in the summer Brandan took a visit to the University of Michigan where they offered him. He has been getting interest from Michigan State, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Davison. Kearney is one of the top 10 Players regardless of class in Michigan and many are excited to see what he is going to do this year on a new stacked Detroit South Eastern team. Kearney has a good shot at the State Championship this year. Many compare Kearney to a Tracy McGrady, long with handles and can really shoot the three. Kearney is a Top 20 player in the Nation for the class of 2011 and Top 5 Shooting guard in the nation.

Ray Lee the 6'1 Flashy guard has every aspect of the game down packed. Hasn’t played his first High school game yet but many seen a glimpse of what its going to look like. He tore opponents up by scoring in the 20's and 30's on many occasions and at Dearborn Rochibaud he has the complete show. With his high school team he plays the off guard and his job is to score, on the other hand AAU with the Detroit Fire is a little different. He tends to free-lance and do what he feels caring less about the consequences, he likes the flair dribble and cross over on his defender. He can see the floor very well. He has a mixed game if he wants to go for 30, he can do that, but its some games where he only will attempt 4 shots and just pass.

Kearney and Ray Lee and Carlton Brundidge a wing from Southfield Michigan are arguably the top guards out of the 2011/2012 class. Ray Lee and Kearney will face each other early in the season and believe me Michigan and State will be there.

Trey Burke 5'10 Columbus

The 5'10 Combo Guard from Columbus has been doing big things with the 15u All Ohio Red program. Finished up his Freshman year at Northland High in Ohio geting good minutes. Trey feels as if he has the green light everytime he steps inbetween the lines. His set shot looks very premature but affective. Off the dribble he shows flashes of Allen Iverson as he can pull up on a dime and drain the shot in the defenders face. Burke's handles are good and he does not get too fancy with them, he's not flashy but he's affective. He contest lots of three pointer's and when they dont fall he gets a little frustrated and at times it affects his play but he is a very crafty guard. Trey just recently had a visit to Akron. Akron is the only school interested in him at this time but its still early in his highschool Career and look for more schools to pile in on him.

Wayne Blackshear and Mike Shaw tear it up in Chicago

The best duo in the nation as far as a one-two punch. Both Shaw and Black shear are Top 3 as far as positions Shooting guard and Power Forward.

Both tore it up in the summer for the Mac Irvine Fire squad. Playing 17u and still dominating. Mike Shaw has been on the scene since 8th grade. t6'8 Small Forward/Power Forward is completely polished offense and defense. Has the nice set shot from 15-20 out, and when the ballhandling kicks in then he will be a sure small Forward.
Wayne Blackshear is very long and smooth with the ball. More the slasher than the shooter at this point and can go for 30 on any night. Defense will develop at this time he slacks on it and at time leaks out but is average and gets by.
The two have both recieved Interest from Illionois and may both commit. Cant wait to see how the sophmore year turns out in Chicago

Elite Frosh from Mich transfers schools

Jordan Hare a 6'6 SF Moved to Michigan this year from Florida and was a secure top 5 player in the state. Started off at Saginaw High school who sent 3 high Level D1 players in the last two years and won back-to-back state championships in Michigan. J.Hare transfered to Saginaw Arthur Hill which produced Jason Richardson, Arthur Hill was least stacked as Saginaw and he would have more of a chance to shine.

Good choice or Not?

Michael Chandler has duke is high on his agenda

Duke has high interest in this 6'9 Forward from Indianapolis,IN. with West Virginia and Miami(FL) toughly recruiting him as well. He has Duke as his favorite because of the great coaching and exposure that Duke offers to their players. Michael has been dominating the AAU circuit with the allways great Speice Indy-Heat team. Moved into the Top 5 as far as centers. Duke has been lacking a good Forward/Center but if he commits then they will have found the missing key

Marcus Paige overlooking Iowa and Iowa State

Marcus Paige a 5'10 PG from Marion, IA has been breaking out on the national scene this year. Playing for the powerful Iowa Stars 14u AAU team. He has been getting interest from many schools but is looking to pass on the Iowa offers, he feels that the schools are not going any where in basketball and is not looking to commit until he is at least a junior so he doesnt make any mistakes. Many consider Paige to be a National Top 5 point guard and his play does not disappoint anyone.

Buckeye Prep Elite Showcase

Showcase brought in talented players all across Ohio, Michigan, and Georgia. The showcase brought in almost 150 athletes with talent.

9th grade devision(2012) had good size and good guard play. The players had lotss of skill and tennacity but I seen a lot of selfish ball playing and not as much team ball, but hey..its a showcase.

Top 10 player Rankings from 2012 devision

1. Ray Lee 6'1 PG MI: Played with a lot of flair and scored with a good percentage noting that he went out and distributed the ball well. Ray Lee has a tremendous feel for the game.

2. Elijah Macon 6'7 PF OH : Played with a smile but was very ferocious on the attack had numerous dunks in traffic and had a free throw line extended jumper that was on key.

3. Jalen Robinson 6''5 SF OH: Had a more so lousy day until the allstar game when he went crazy. He showed the fans a peek of his outside game which instantly showed he was a SF.

4. Cameron Fowler 6'0 SG MI: One of the most exiting to watch as he tried tip-back dunks, and tried to flush over some big men. Very boucy and got up the court for easy points.

5. Kechaun Lewis 6'0 SG OH: Like Fowler very exiting but not as active, Very smooth and gets up the floor, cherry picks for dunks and flashy over the rim fingeroll's

6. Nate Bucher 6'0 SG GA: Very unselfish player the way he would shoot the lights out you would expect more attemps from him. Just a pure shooter.

7. Malik London 6'7 PF OH: Very lean and athletic with the right mind set...dunk!

8. Dylan Kaufman 6'3 SF OH: Very smart player not so flashy, nor highly skilled but gets points from playing hard.

9. Landen Gaulden 5'8 PG OH: Very scrappy, Quick, tough vocal guard. Who faced the other teams best guard. In the Allstar game easily had the most assist.

10. Tyler Williams 6'1 SF GA: Very tough fast forward who got in transition and got easy layups, handles are his weakness and once his ball handling drills kick in he will get better.

8th Grade devision(2013)

A lot of good talent and many players with growth spurts, some the same size. The talent was there. You had some very skilled 7th graders who played up and did well.
Player Rankings from 2013 Devision

1. Marc Loving 6'4 SF OH: A parent expressed to me that he is the next upcoming kevin durant. Can do it all. Dribble, shoot, pass, and defend big men. Clearly Dominated and thats an understatement.

2. Demonte Flannigan 6'6 PF OH: Just so much bigger and easily score's. Work ethic needs to improve or other forwards will pass him later on..seen it so many times.

3. CJ Bussey 6'1 SF OH: Very tough and has lock down defense got in transition for easy buckets.

4. Deiondrary Martin 6’1 SF OH: Very good forward with an inside out game. handle can improve

5. Jalen Benton 5'9 PG OH: Jalen has great handle and pretty good size for a guard. Going into the 7th grade he s one of the best players in the state of Ohio. Can set up his opponent and is a monster at one on one moves.
